Stealth tracks property incidents and local crime trends as part of our multi-tiered Total Service program. It helps us deter and reduce crime, as these serial office thieves learned.
In today's Catch of the Month a white van turns into this office complex at 4:11am.
Stealth Monitoring watches several thousand cameras coast to coast. As a result, we're able to work with clients to maintain custom property surveillance protocols based on previous incidents, type of property, local and national crime trends, and time of year.
This month's Catch is one such example of our control center work. This van was recognized as one associated with past burglaries. Stealth promptly calls the police.
One man leaves the van. He looks at vehicles and building units. He walks across a parking lot with what looks like a baseball bat in his hand.
The van leaves and returns three minutes later. This time the man has what appears to be a crowbar. The van driver and passenger leave the vehicle and return to the rear of the building.
The men start to run directly toward a waiting police car. The suspects split up and race away. Due to Stealth’s recognition of the van and call, the local police were dispatched early enough to prevent any theft or office damage and while the would-be burglars are still on the property.
One of the fleeing suspects is arrested. A tow truck removes the suspects' white van.
