Shopping Center VideoWatch actual footage captured by Stealth Monitoring live surveillance. Our Control Center proactively monitors over 9,000 cameras each night. Thief Ignores Warning, Brings Posse and Is Arrested
Our Catch of the Month shows what happens with live security monitoring when criminals ignore our warnings.
Some criminals seem to want to be caught. This thief hears a live security monitoring speaker tell him that he's being watched and police have been called. So he does the smart thing and drives away. But he not only returns mere minutes later - while the police are on the way - he brings his criminal posse with crowbars. The police make an easy arrest.
This video is black and white due to the nightime conditions. Increased lighting can act both as a deterrent and help cameras see in color.
At 11:28pm a Stealth Monitoring operator sees a car drive down the alley behind a Fort Worth, Texas shopping center when the tenants are closed. The car turns around and stops behind a pharmacy. An individual gets out. He pulls on doors and inspects the rear of the building.
Stealth Monitoring specializes in proactive live security monitoring that can keep criminals away BEFORE they break in to buildings, steal valuable assets, and cause damage and loss. Our multi-layered protection for commercial properties, such as shopping centers, car dealerships, offices, and warehouses, starts with signage and visible cameras that can warn individuals that the property is under live video surveillance. The next step is a loud speaker warning that tells people they are being watched and authorities have been alerted. The speaker successfully deters potential crimes about 40 percent of the time.
The final property security measure is live video security monitoring. Trained Stealth staff watch trespassers and other suspicious individuals. Stealth operators can follow their activity while on the property. When they see suspicious behavior they can activate the speaker warning and call police. Stealth operators can direct arriving police officers to the locations of suspects along with information on vehicles, clothing, weapons, and movement.
This client is a huge fan of Stealth's ability to both deter crime and help catch criminals. We provide live security monitoring to 31 properties for them. In the past year their properties have experienced 1,386 incidents that generated 734 speaker alarms, 609 police dispatches, and 25 arrests.
In the live security video a Stealth operator activates the audio warning at the shopping center and calls the Fort Worth police. The suspicious individual appears to heed the speaker message. The car leaves.
But the same car returns a few minutes later. Three suspects leave the vehicle with crowbars in hand. They start attacking the back door to the shopping center pharmacy.
Live security monitoring sees police cars arrive shortly afterward. The suspects flee. One suspect is quickly apprehended. The other two run away from the shopping center and into a residential area. The suspects' car is towed away.
