Violent Car Thief Restrained by Police Squad
Two thieves learn you can't run - or hide - from Stealth Monitoring cameras and trained operators.
At 12:57am Stealth Monitoring operators with live video surveillance see a suspicious car park next to a new car lot. Two trespassers jog onto the lot with a bag of tools. Stealth operators proactively call police and use a PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) camera to follow the suspects. The two men go from vehicle to vehicle determining which ones they want to hit. They dismantle the catalytic converter underneath.
Stealth operators communicate in real-time with police dispatch to tell them where the suspects and their car are located and what they are doing. Police arrive on property at 1:13am. With the help of Stealth operators, the officers look under vehicles and find the thieves.
Cars and trucks in open, unprotected lots are easy targets for enterprising thieves. They can target car navigation systems, catalytic convertors, wheels, tires and even the vehicle itself. Assets inside the store can be stolen as well.
One suspect resists and becomes violent. Several officers are required to take him into custody. The two suspects are handcuffed and taken away.
