Apartment Trespasser Returns to the Scene of the Crime

Posted by Blake Mitchell on Jun 10, 2021

A Stealth Monitoring security operator saw an individual walk into a Los Angeles apartment building. The suspect tried unsuccessfully to enter one of the units. Our operator activated the on-site speaker to warn the trespasser he was being watched. However, he ignored the warning, so the operator called police.

When officers arrived, they searched the property, but the suspect had left the premises. Our operator saw the same individual return later that same night and hop through a window on the property. Police were once again notified. This time they caught up with the suspect and arrested him.

Security is a challenge and concern for multifamily property managers. To ensure the safety of your property and its residents, requires vigilance and an effective security solution.

Live video monitoring can help you stay ahead of the game. Trained security operators use analytics-based cameras to monitor your property when you’re not there to help deter unwanted behavior. They can activate warning speakers and call to dispatch local authorities.

Stealth also has a team of video analysts who can review the footage from all relevant cameras and provide an edited clip of any incident. This can be especially helpful with police and insurance investigations.
