Construction Security: An ATV, A Chase and an Arrest.

Posted by Ryan Cox on September 23, 2019

Theft and vandalism are common issues on construction sites in North America, costing stakeholders valuable time and money.

In this video, our security operator observed an ATV enter a construction site in Alberta, Canada just after midnight.

The driver of the ATV made several attempts to attach a large spool of wire to the back of the vehicle.

Our operating monitor contacted the police. When officers arrived at the site, a chase ensued. They successfully captured the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Every year, millions of dollars of equipment is stolen from construction sites. Because many job sites are poorly secured, thieves are finding it to be a lucrative opportunity. Implementing live video monitoring can help minimize thefts and keep valuable assets safe.
