Construction Site Breaking and Entering

Posted by Sudesh Jangalee on Mar 22, 2021

In this month’s video, a trespasser on the hunt for construction materials was had his search cut short.

Around 3:30 a.m., a person was seen entering a construction site through an easily accessible gate. A Stealth Monitoring security operator activated the on-site speaker warning then contacted local police. Our operator gave the dispatcher a detailed description of the suspect.

The trespasser walked around the site, searching through various construction materials. He continued around the site on his search. Within minutes, several officers arrived and entered the site. They located the individual then walked him outside the perimeter fence where they made an arrest.

Trespassers Can Plague Your Budget

There’s no question that trespassers can impact timelines and costs of construction projects. They can steal materials and equipment, as well as cause damage. That’s why it’s important to be vigilant about making sites as inaccessible as possible to all types of intrusion.

Surveillance cameras that are proactively monitored are an effective way to keep an eye on your site. Trained security operators monitor analytics-based cameras to watch for anything suspicious. They can take action as soon as they see something. That includes activating a speaker warning and calling local authorities. Stealth’s integrated security solution can help:

  • Minimize risk and liability
  • Reduce insurance premiums
  • Maintain proper operations
  • Monitor access points
  • Save on security spend
