When it comes to security risks, car lots and auto dealerships have a lot to worry about. After all, they have high-valued inventory sitting out in the open, at risk for theft and damage.

In this Arrest of the Month video, we took quick action on an intruder who learned opening the hood of a vehicle on a lot after hours will get you an open invitation to jail.

Around 12:45 one morning, a Stealth Monitoring security operator spotted an individual on a car lot. The subject approached a Jeep and attempted to pop open its hood. Once open, he reached his hand inside. He closed the hood, then proceeded around the lot checking other vehicles.

Our monitoring operator was watching and called to dispatch police. Officers arrived, located the individual and made an arrest.

Safeguard Your Car Lot with Live Video Monitoring

It’s no secret to anyone that an automotive dealership houses very expensive inventory out in the open. If something were to happen to just one vehicle, it could cause thousands of dollars in damage. A robust security solution can be quite effective in keeping those valuable assets safe.

Live video monitoring from Stealth Monitoring is a comprehensive and cost-effective security solution, designed to help reduce and deter theft, vandalism and liability. By monitoring analytics-based cameras, trained security personnel can keep watch on your dealership in real time. When they see something suspicious, such as someone trying to access vehicles after hours, they can take immediate action.

The mere fact that we are watching live activity is typically enough for police to elevate the priority level of our call. This video verification is proof of a crime in progress. Quicker response times facilitate more arrests and less damage. A real time and money-saving advantage over traditional security solutions.
