Apartment Security: Parking Lot Altercation Ends in Arrest

Posted by Eric Nauta on Aug 19, 2019

Parking lots can often be trouble spots for property managers. So much so that they ranked number 3 for violent crimes in 2017 by the FBI Crime Data Explorer.

In this video, a couple’s fight in the parking lot ends with one of them going to jail.

A male individual was seen by a Stealth security operator pacing back and forth in the parking lot of a Tampa apartment complex. He seemed to be upset.

The man was then approached by an angry female who walked up and shoved him. An altercation breaks out between the two. A second woman entered in an attempt to calm them down.

Based on the disruptive and harmful activity, our monitoring operator contacted police. Within minutes, officers arrived and arrested the male.

There are an estimated 1,400 attacks taking place in parking lots every day. Apartment complexes seek to maintain a secure environment for their tenants, while reducing their own exposure to liability and unwanted activity. Stealth’s proactive live monitoring and video review service can keep a watchful eye on your property to reduce risk and damage.
