Nighttime Construction Site Fence Hopper Arrested

Posted by Blake Mitchell on Feb 11, 2021

An individual entered a construction site by jumping over the perimeter fence. He walked around the site then proceeded into the building under construction. Our trained security operator, who had been watching, called to dispatch police. The monitoring operator gave officers details about the suspect, including where he was located.

When responding officers arrived, they found the trespasser and placed him under arrest.

You know how difficult it can be to keep unwanted visitors out of your construction site. It’s dangerous enough as it is for the workers who belong there. The last thing you need is an intruder getting injured or damaging your project. Both can cause costly production delays.

Remote video monitoring can help deter unwanted visitors and mitigate liability issues. Security operators monitor analytics-based cameras to watch for suspicious activity in real time. If they see something, they can assess the situation and take action. This means activating an on-site speaker warning if it’s available and contacting local authorities.
