Daytime Drug Dealing Gone Wrong

Posted by Rick Charney on May 26, 2020

In this month’s video, a group of young men were approaching cars in a retail center parking lot, presumably to sell drugs.

A group of individuals was seen hanging out in front of a Dallas shopping center around 1:30 in the afternoon. One of our monitoring operators saw them approaching several vehicles in the parking lot. It appeared to be drug-related activity.

When people loiter outside of your property, they can make tenants and customers feel unsafe. When customers aren’t comfortable, they will stop coming to your property to do business. Drug use can also lead to other issues like vandalism and theft.

Due to the nature of the activity, our operator activated the on-site speaker and contact police. One suspect was seen running from the property after hearing the warning. Officers arrived within minutes and arrested an individual.

Help Deter Loitering and Drug Deals at Your Property with Live Video Monitoring

While loitering may seem harmless on the surface, it can lead to more serious crimes and can deter customers. Live video monitoring can help deter unwanted activity. Trained security operators watch cameras safely from a remote location. If they see anything suspicious, they can activate a speaker warning and call police.
