Stealth Monitoring is excited to announce the appointment of Jason Showen, a Senior Account Executive and specialist in scrap, waste, and recycling security, to several committees within the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA), formerly known as the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI). This milestone highlights Jason’s expertise and the growing emphasis on security and technology in the recycling sector.
ReMA – Advocating and Promoting for Those in the Recycling Industry
ReMA continues to lead the way in promoting new technologies and processes, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for detecting and separating recyclables based on shape, density, elemental composition, and color. These advancements are crucial as the association collaborates with consumer brands and companies to enhance their recycling practices, use more recycled materials, and design products for easier recycling. These efforts align with national and global decarbonization goals, underscoring the importance of sustainable practices in reducing carbon footprints.
Jason Showen’s new roles within ReMA include appointments to the Equipment & Service Providers Council, the ReMA Safety & Environmental Council, the Government Relations Committee, the Safe Operations Committee, and the Shredder Committee. These positions enable him to contribute significantly to the association’s mission of driving innovation, safety, and sustainability in the recycling industry.
In his capacity, Jason will bring valuable insights from both the video monitoring and scrap and recycling industries. His expertise will help address specific issues faced by those working in recycling, scrap, rubber, and metal yards. With upcoming meetings scheduled for July, Jason is eager to share his perspectives and work collaboratively with other committee members to support the sector.
Stealth Monitoring’s focus on security and technological integration aligns with ReMA’s goals. By leveraging advanced video monitoring solutions, the recycling, scrap, and waste management industries can enhance both safety and operational efficiency in their facilities. Implementations like these exemplify how technology can be harnessed to create safer, more sustainable environments in the recycling industry.
Stealth Monitoring congratulates Jason Showen on his new appointments and looks forward to the positive contributions he will make to the Recycled Materials Association and the recycling industry as a whole.
