Attempted Car Break-Ins Broken Up.

Posted by Norm Charney on Mar 23, 2020

In this month’s video, three individuals attempted to access multiple cars in an apartment parking lot. Police arrived just in time to prevent them from leaving the property.

Just after one o’clock in the morning, three individuals were seen attempting to access multiple vehicles in a Fort Worth, Texas apartment parking lot. Two of the suspects succeeded to break-in. One of our Stealth security operators was watching and contacted police.

The two individuals spent several seconds rifling through the car before exiting. The conniving trio continued to make their way through the parking lot.

Two police vehicles arrived on the property and intercepted the suspects’ car at the access gate trying to leave. Officers placed the perpetrators under arrest.

Parking Lot Safety

Parking lot safety at multifamily residential communities is extremely important, especially after the sun goes down. Poor lighting, coupled with ample hiding spots, can create the perfect setting for crime. Not to mention the ease of camouflaging the getaway car among the other vehicles makes it easy for thieves to flee.

Live Video Monitoring for Parking Lot Security

Live video monitoring is a cost-effective security solution. Trained monitoring operators watch for criminal activity in real time to identify and deter crime before it happens. The cameras can be placed in such a way that our operators can simultaneously cover multiple areas, often from vantage points that are not easily accessible to a security guard. If they spot something suspicious, they can immediately contact police.

Officers tend to respond more quickly to calls from Stealth because they know we are watching a crime in progress. This increases the odds they will arrive before suspects can leave the property.
