This video highlights just how vulnerable multifamily property parking lots can be. In the first incident, a suspect is seen pulling his truck into a parking lot. He then walks in between multiple vehicles tugging on door handles. A Stealth security operator contacted police. After several unsuccessful attempts, the individual gets back in his truck and drives away. Officers did pull the driver over, based on our operator’s description, and arrested him.
In the second part of the video, two men were spotted going in between parked vehicles at an apartment community. They set off an alarm on an SUV in the lot. Our monitoring operator called to dispatch police. Officers arrived and tracked down the suspects.
Finally, a trespasser was seen around 3:15 a.m. attempting to open the doors of every car in the parking lot. Again, one of our Stealth Monitoring security operators contacted police. When officers arrived, they searched for the suspect and eventually found him.
Criminals focus on parking lots at night because they are easy targets. Lots of vehicles sitting alone for hours at a time.
It’s important to keep your residents safe and your property free from crime. In addition to good lighting and well-maintained facilities, a live video monitoring can help keep valuable assets secure. This proactive solution combines video analytics with human intelligence to watch for crimes in progress. Because our security operators are watching live activity, they can immediately assess a situation and act accordingly.
Unlike a security guard who can only be in one place at a time, monitoring operators can watch multiple cameras simultaneously, thereby covering more ground in less time. In addition to parking lots, we monitor mail rooms, fitness centers, laundry facilities, lobbies, offices, pools and other vulnerable areas.
