Construction sites can be easy targets for criminals, mainly because many of them lack proper security.
Around 2:40 a.m., an individual was seen entering a Seattle construction site by squeezing through an opening in the fence. Our security operator contacted police and gave the dispatcher a full description of the suspect.
When officers arrived, the operator alerted them that the individual was hiding behind a garbage bin and directed them to where he was spotted. They then noticed the suspect trying to sneak out and arrested him.
Live video monitoring is a proactive construction site security system that can deter criminals and decrease theft and liability issues, while protecting company equipment and assets. Trained security operators watch surveillance cameras in real time. If they see trespassers, they can activate an on-site speaker warning which lets the unwanted visitors know they are being watched. If the warning doesn’t deter them, the operator can call local police, who often arrive while the suspect is still on the property.
