Multifamily residential community managers, owners, and their residents know that community living means you may hear your neighbors having a spirited disagreement from time to time – but when it’s long past the witching hour and your neighbors are brawling in the parking lot? That’s an issue.
In this video, Stealth security operators took notice of a vehicle pulling into the parking area of a California apartment community around 4:00 in the morning. Two individuals exited the vehicle, and immediately began to engage in a domestic dispute that rapidly escalated to physical attacks.
Stealth contacted the security officer as well as local police right away. Law enforcement arrived on site quickly, made contact with the individuals, and appeared to place at least one of the early morning brawling couple in custody.
Residents Prefer a Safe, Quiet, and Secure Community to Call Home
No one wants to wake up to screaming domestic fights at 4:00 a.m. Negative and dangerous behavior like verbal altercations, physical fights, domestic abuse – not only do they risk the safety of other residents, but it disrupts their quiet enjoyment of their own homes.
If you’re familiar with psychology, you may have heard of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It essentially places safety needs as the second most important concern for every human being after our physiological needs like food, water, and shelter. When we don’t feel safe, we will not want to remain in a situation or place.
This means it’s no surprise that security cameras, well-lit parking lots and hallways, and quick security responses to any potential issues boost residents’ confidence in a community significantly.
Live video monitoring goes beyond traditional security measures. It’s a proactive security solution that combines the human intelligence of trained security professionals with analytics-based cameras that flag more than simple movement. Our security operators watch for suspicious or unwanted activity in real time and can quickly respond to anything that looks “off” – following site protocols and involving local authorities when needed.
