Apartment Security — Nude Male Caught on Camera

Posted by Shawna Ivy on October 13, 2020

Here’s something you don’t see every day.

Just after five o’clock in the morning, a Stealth Monitoring security operator saw a naked individual wandering around a Houston apartment complex. Our operator activated the on-site speaker warning and left a message for the security guard on duty. Getting no response from either, our security operator contacted Houston police. Responding officers arrived and patrolled the property, but there was no sign of the suspect.

Attracting and Keeping the Best Residents

Do you know exactly what goes on at your property when you’re not there? As an owner or manager, it is your responsibility to ensure your community is safe from those who want to cause problems. That can be challenging whether your property is a high-rise apartment building or is made up of multiple dwellings.

Roughly 36 percent of the U.S. population are renters. One of the factors than can determine the success of your property is the type of residents you attract. High-quality residents can make your life easier by paying rent on time and being friendly to their neighbors. They tend to stick around and refer other residents of the same caliber, all of which can increase your NOI.

Conversely, lower-quality residents – those who may be delinquent in their rent, damage the property, or throw loud parties late at night --- can lead to higher turnover, costly expenses and a marred reputation.

Take Proactive Security Measures to Attract the Best Residents

Maintaining a safe environment is a great way to improve resident retention and attract new ones. Safety-conscious people tend to seek out properties that take proactive security measures.

Live video monitoring is one of those proactive measures. Trained security operators, safely located in remote locations, watch live security cameras to help catch activity in progress. When they see something suspicious, they can activate on-site speaker warnings and call police, just as you saw in the video.

By proactively monitoring your community, we can help reduce your operational costs, deter crime, retain and attract residents and ultimately improve your net operating income – for up to 60 percent less than traditional safety and security measures.

Good property management requires attracting the best residents, ensuring their happiness and keeping your costs down. A live video monitoring solution can help you achieve that.
