Catch of the Month Newsletter: Trespassers Beware! Caught by Live Remote Video Surveillance

No property wants a reputation for undesirable visitors, whether they’re sleeping trespassers, homeless, drug users, or other transient traffic.

Loiterers and trespassers are a common problem for our business clients. Stealth watches your property when you’re not there. Here are just a few of the many trespassing incidents that resulted in Stealth operators protecting our clients’ business and reputation by calling to dispatch police.

Get up to $200 per camera installed in Washington DC

Washington DC announced the Safer, Strong DC initiative with a rebate for the purchase and installation of video cameras outside a building by a business. The program requires the security cameras to be registered with the Metropolitan Police Department. Police officers can request video footage from their owners while investigating criminal activity. The video cameras are intended to deter crime, such as burglaries and mail. The police will not have live access to the remote video cameras.

Remote Internet Video Surveillance & IOT

Time Warner Business Class published a white paper featuring Stealth Monitoring on the explosion of IoT (Internet of Things) and its impact on live Internet video surveillance. The Internet market is expected to generate $8 trillion in new business over the next decade, with growth in business innovation and revenue, asset utilization, and supply chain and logistics management.

Commercial businesses increasingly connect and deliver real-time information and video over the Internet from remote video cameras and an array of devices and applications. This data drives revenue and productivity, reduces operating costs, enhances service delivery, and increases security, such as through remote Internet video surveillance. “Using advanced video analytics capabilities, Stealth Monitoring is able to quickly detect illicit activity and accelerate law enforcement interventions.”
