Shopping Center Trespasser Tries to Access Delivery Trucks

Posted by Gernae Alexander on Feb 22, 2021

In this month’s video, a trespasser is caught trying to break into several trucks parked behind a retail center.

A Stealth Monitoring security operator spotted an individual at a retail center after hours. He was walking across the empty parking lot towards the back of the property. The trespasser made his way to some semi-trucks that were parked next to the building. He began to check the locks on the back roll up doors of the trucks. Our monitoring operator contacted police.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, the perpetrator then ambled over to an area where more semis were parked. He attempted to access one of the truck’s cabs. Officers arrived. They approached the suspect and took him into custody.

Help Protect Your Valuable Assets from Shopping Center Trespassers

When you have trucks in your lot overnight, they become targets to potential crime, including vandalism and theft. The loss of income from stolen goods and the cost to repair or replace the trucks can be devastating to a business.

Having an effective security solution in place is critical to protecting these valuable assets.

Live video monitoring is a proactive way to monitor your property. Trained security operators use analytics-based cameras to watch for crimes in progress. If they see something suspicious, they can assess the situation and take action. This can include alerting trespassers via an on-site speaker warning and calling local authorities.

Unlike security guards who can only be in one place at a time and see what is directly in front of them, our operators watch multiple cameras simultaneously to cover more of the property. Our proactive security solution can typically save up to 60% when compared to guards.
