Police Step In

Lewisville Police arrested a man on January 29 thanks in large part to information and evidence provided by Stealth Monitoring. The man was originally wanted for an armed robbery that occurred at an electronics retail store in a shopping center on January 21 in Plano, Texas. He was taken into custody after barricading himself in a local restaurant.

The man entered the store and proceeded to pull out a handgun and restrain the store’s clerks in a back room before stealing cash and electronics and fleeing. Police used security footage that was provided by Stealth Monitoring to identify both the suspect and the vehicle that he fled in.

Just one day after releasing this information to the public, a waitress at a Lewisville, Texas, restaurant overheard the suspect talking about a stolen car and notified police. When they arrived, the man barricaded himself in the bathroom, climbed through broken ceiling tiles into the rafters, and made his way onto the roof, where he then surrendered after several hours. He had to climb back down the way he came to be taken into custody. It was later discovered that the man was also wanted in four Texas counties for unrelated felonies.
