Surveillance City: HBO Vice dubbed Camden NJ the Surveillance City in a recent episode. Camdem installed 120 live video cameras as part of a $4.5 million network that also includes gunshot-sensitive microphones, surveillance towers and automatic license plate readers. See the full article here.

Camden County police built on this network with the Interactive Community Alert Network (ICAN), which gives residents the ability to access panoramic still photos from camera video feeds in their neighborhood.
