Tractors and trailers are searched, often by a security guard, before they enter a logistics facility to make sure the cargo is legitimate. Technology can be used to take over most of this function, again reducing the amount of human contact. In addition, it gives logistics facilities 24/7 access to the inspection records.
Live Video Monitoring for Security
With all the advancements in technology, many warehouses, logistics and distribution facilities are augmenting or replacing their traditional security measures with live video monitoring. This proactive solution is the ability to view onsite security cameras off site. Using analytics-based cameras, trained security operators can help identify and deter crime before it happens. There are many advantages to using a solution like this including, extensive site coverage, quicker response times and cost savings.
