A warehouse security system was rendered useless after thieves stole it during a heist. The system included surveillance cameras and the DVRs. Thieves also stole designer sunglasses. The value of the sunglasses stolen was estimated at around $100,000 USD. This heist took place near Miami, Florida.
The sheriff’s office searched for a group of thieves that broke into a warehouse. Detectives said that the grand theft occurred when no employees were on the commercial property. Employees arrived at the warehouse and saw the damage of the heist. According to the detectives, the thieves cut a large hole through concrete and sheet metal in the roof to get access to the interior of the warehouse. They managed to disarm the warehouse security alarm. The criminals rummaged through the office spaces and kicked their way to the back of the warehouse where the inventory was stored. Thieves stole $100,000 worth of high-end brand sunglasses that included Fred, Boeing, and Tag Heuer.
Detectives said the thieves stole the warehouse security system, which included security cameras and the digital video recorder, before they left the property. The sheriff’s office said the criminals also stole two of the work vans from a nearby business to move the stolen warehouse security system and high-end sunglasses.
The local authorities received a lead regarding the location of the stolen goods and warehouse security system. They found the abandoned getaway vehicles in Miami, Florida. There has not been an update regarding the stolen goods or the warehouse security system since the initial news report.
