Domestic Dispute in Apartment Parking Lot

Posted by Blake Mitchell on May 19, 2021

Shortly after 11 p.m., a Stealth Monitoring security operator alerted the police about a verbal altercation between a man and a woman in the parking lot of Houston apartment community. The dispute turned physical when the female reached out and tore the man’s shirt. At one point, he attempted to leave the scene, but the woman blocked him in with her car. Officers arrived and questioned the couple before apprehending the female suspect.

We later received a request for footage from the Harris County DA’s office.

When your residents feel safe in your community, it helps them create a sense of belonging that will motivate them to stay. If they start feeling threatened and uneasy, they may search for a place where they feel safer.

You can help give your residents peace of mind by enhancing your security. Stealth’s live video monitoring is a proactive solution that helps deter unwanted activity before it can escalate. Trained security operators monitor analytics-based cameras to watch your property when you’re not there. If they see something suspicious, they can quickly act. This includes activating on-site speaker warnings and calling local authorities.

As an added benefit, we have a team in place who can review all footage from pertinent cameras to piece together an edited summary of any incident that occurs. This time-saving feature can be very helpful in police and insurance investigations.

Unlike courtesy patrols and guards who can only be in one place at a time, we have eyes on multiple areas of your property simultaneously. This gives you better coverage for up to 60 percent less than the cost of those patrols and guards.

If you are having any issues at your multifamily community, whether it’s theft, break-ins, vandalism, loitering, parking lot issues or any other unwanted activity, contact us.
